Hi, I'm Peter and have been a councillor since being co-opted in May 2026. For many years I was a judge who specialised in family and child protection cases in London, Cambridge and Peterborough. I retired in 2020 and moved to Scaldwell in April 2025 with my wife Linda to be closer to our grandchildren who live in Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire. We were immediately made to feel very welcome. Scaldwell is a beautiful village with a unique friendly charm and we wish we have moved here years ago! I want to help in any way I can to protect Scaldwell's unique charm.
I am very aware that I am a newcomer compared to the majority of Scaldwell residents and that my former occupation didn't really equip me with many relevant skills to be a councillor - so I am very happy to listen and learn and for anyone to stop me for a chat.
